What is Conversion Rate?

Conversion rate measures the number of people who filled out the form compared to the number of people who visited the form. At Blitzen we use the equation: total submissions / total sessions.

You can look at it as a measure of how engaging your form was to your audience.

What is a good conversion rate?

There is no hard-and-fast rule on conversion rates though typically you want to aim above 10%. The conversion rate has a lot to do with the type of form or survey you are conducting. Contest forms, for example, generally have a higher conversion rate than contact forms; the media industry has a higher conversion rate than the healthcare industry, and so on.  

Of course we always aim for 100% conversion, but that goal is next to impossible to reach. Don’t set yourself up for disappointment and aim for something more reasonable. After all, you can always iterate on your form for the next time!
